Business Analyst

Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a Business Analyst for our Government Client based in South Brisbane. This is a 3 month contract with a great hourly rate.

The Business Analyst will Identify, analyse and document current state and future state business processes and requirements; coordinate and support the implementation of business requirements into information systems on behalf of the client.

Working within an Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment.

                                                                          
Key Responsibilities include :

  • Support the definition, documentation and successful completion of a large scale, complex project in line with the project management methodologies.
  • Collaborate with and support other Business Analysts to undertake a review of business processes, architectures, designs and project plans for the provision of business solutions for large and complex projects and programs of work
  • Capture and analyse ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ functional and non-functional system specifications, information requirements, conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms and workflow from a range of sources
  • Contribute to the design and development of information models and system data migration plans and activities using the appropriate data analysis tools, techniques and methodologies to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to the migration, transformation and validation of data to ensure data integrity, continuity and reliability, supporting overall information management practices.
  • Contribute to the delivery of consolidated and improved business services through the translation of business requirements into appropriate information and technical specifications.
  • Consult and liaise extensively with clients and stakeholders to clarify and document business requirements and make recommendations on existing systems, processes and other solutions to meet client needs.
  • Provide input to recommendations, findings and a range of options to senior management ensuring the client expectations are understood and agreed.
  • Contribute to stakeholder and supplier engagement, assessment and ongoing stakeholder and supplier management.
  • Provide a support and mentoring role for other business analysts within the program/project(s).
  • Ensure that proposed business solutions are in accordance with the strategic direction, standards and protocols.

Experience is required in the following areas

  • Experience performing technical business analysis activities within IM / ICT program / project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: BUAN: Level 4)
  • Experience in capturing and analysing ICT systems and data requirements across a range of applications. (SFIA Skill: BSMO: Level 4)
  • Knowledge in, and an ability to provide sound advice and recommendations on the application of appropriate business analysis techniques, methodologies and tools, preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 2.0 (BABOK). (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 4)
  • Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a program / project environment. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS: Collaborative working)

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Australian citizenship
  • Extensive experience in a Business Analyst Role
  • Be available to start on Tuesday 7th April 2015
  • Current Driver’s Licence,
  • Be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Criminal History Check
