Recruitment 24/7 has an opportunity with one of their major clients for a Care Governance Support Officer (working in Aged Care residences) based in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane.

In this full time role, you will report directly to the Care Governance Manager and be responsible for looking after 15 aged care residences throughout SE Qld and the Wide Bay-Burnett Region.

You are an experienced professional in Accreditation Standards and have a focus on achieving high results by assisting in developing, maintaining and improving companies model of care within the parameters of legislation.

Duties, skills and attributes required:

  • Critically analyse and evaluate systems and processes
  • Familiarity with the Aged Care Act and Principles, ACFI and accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated abilities in quality and clinical auditing
  • Excellent writing / reporting skills
  • Experience in the use of electronic Care Management Systems
  • Coaching, mentoring and relationship building skills
  • Ability to identify training needs of individuals and co-ordinate training
  • Effectively liaise with Government Agency personnel

The following criteria must be met:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Sound knowledge of Aged Care Practices and Health Care Issues
  • 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role in the Aged Care Industry
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Act and Principles, ACFI and Accreditation standards
  • Advanced MS Office applications and internet
  • Open drivers licence and transport
  • Flexible and able to travel to facilities, function and meetings within SE Qld
