Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy for an Electrical Trades Supervisor with one of our Mining Company clients. Their Australian office is based in Brisbane however their mine site is in Nauru which is approximately a short four and a half hour flight from Brisbane.
Our client has an extensive and strong history of growing and managing world class open cut and underground operations.
This is a permanent fulltime position. On offer for the successful candidate, is to work in Nauru on 10 weeks on 2 weeks off basis (single person accommodation cannot bring family). $121,000 per annum salary with 4 weeks paid leave per year (on top of rec breaks) tax free in Nauru (conditions apply).
You will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 20 trades people and T / A’s on the mine site where you will be in charge of all the electrical maintenance and project work in the primary crushing and screening plant, drying and crushing plant using rotary oil fired kilns, and shipping facility ( conveyor belts and associated equipment ).
A fully maintained company Ute and uniforms will be provided to the successful applicant.

To be considered for this role you MUST meet most of the following criteria :
Trade qualifications as an Electrician or Electrical Fitter
Current Queensland Electrical license
Current manual driver’s license
Exp with PLC / variable drives etc
Candidates will be highly regarded with current tickets for working at heights, elevated work platforms and first aid
Previous proactive, predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling/ planning experience
Strong decision making ability
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Possess excellent analytical organisational and time management skills
Have a dedicated approach to work and the ability to communicate on all levels
Hold safety as a personal core value
Must be able to pass medical and drug & alcohol screening and have a strong focus on workplace safety
Candidates must be self-starters with a positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to work both within a team and without supervision
The minimum of previous experience as an Electrical Leading Hand
Have a passport or be able to get one
