Recruitment 24/7 currently several vacancies for Experienced Qualified Pressure Pipework Welders working in one of our clients fabrication work-shops based in the Northern Suburb of Brisbane.
The role will involve very high quality Pressure Welding of Gas Pipelines for specialised gas projects.
This is an ongoing casual position until the end of June of 2014.
On offer is a normal time pay rate of $40.38 for dayshift and $46.44 hr for afternoon shift. Monday to Friday 6am to 5.30pm and Saturday’s 6am to 4pm.
Normal time hours are paid for the first 7.6hrs of the working day followed by time and a half for the next two hours worked and then double time for any hours after that. If you are selected for one of these roles it is expected that you will be working about 65 hours for the week.
To be considered for this role you will require the following:
• Australian Trade qualifications as a Boiler Maker/Welder with experience with MIG, all Tig Flux Core & STT are essential due to – 100% NTD Testing
• Extensive experience with heavy industrial fabrication
• Adherence to OHS and must be able to pass a drug test
• Your own tools of trade and PPE (i.e. Airflow welding helmet)
The successful applicant will gain invaluable exposure to one of Australia’s leading heavy industrial manufacturers of Gas pipelines and related infrastructure.
All candidates must have the ability to be able to pass a weld test in the 6G position using MIG welding process on a DN150 Sch120 Coupon before you are offered a position.
Our client will also consider TIG/STICK welders but our current preference is for MIG welders.
