Recruitment 24/7 are seeking an EXPERIENCED Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner for a position with one of our clients based in Ipswich.
Our client is an engineering company requiring someone to work in their machine shop.
This is an ongoing casual position with the possibility for the right candidate to go permanent after the qualifying period.
The work hours are Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 2:30pm and Fridays 6:30am to 12:30pm. There is also the chance of overtime, and Saturday work may become available for the right person.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and a team player with the ability to work independently.
In the role you will work with a number of machines including the lathe, milling and slotter machines.
It is essential for this role you need to have your own hand tools as well as steel capped boots, long pants and long-sleeved work shirt.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, results oriented, and will meet the following minimum criteria:
Trade qualified Fitter & Turner
Experienced in operating lathe, milling and slotter machines
Minimum 5 years experience in the trade
Have your own hand tools
Available for an immediate start
It is essential that you have your own transport, as well as be able to pass a drug and alcohol test before starting employment.
