Recruitment 24/7 is working in partnership with one of Australia’s most reputable building product manufacturing companies based at Slacks Creek.
Due to their rapid growth we are seeking a Junior Residential Roofing Estimator for metal roofing, tile roofing and fascia gutter products to join their expanding team. This is an ongoing casual role working Monday to Friday from 8am – 4.00pm with the view that a permanent position will be offered to the successful applicant after a qualifying period.
Reporting to the Senior Estimating Manager, your main responsibilities will be to carry out accurate quantity take offs of all roofing products and produce quotations of material and labour to support the sales team. This role would be perfect for a recent school leaver looking for a career in the building industry.
Some of the tasks in the role of Junior Roofing Estimator will include but will not be limited to the following:
Drawing roof plans using computerised software (Applicad)
Accurate quantification of material & Labour to produce quotations
Fascia Gutter quantification
Check and enter Purchase orders from builders in to the systems
Support sales team
Maintain communication between all department
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
A conscientious attitude (attention to detail a must) and exceptional customer service skills
Experience in reading building plans
Experience with Applicad (preferred but not essential)
Previous experience in Roofing, Fascia & Gutters (preferred but not essential)

Own transport
Spatial Awareness
You will have a high attention to detail and deliver accurate work. A strong work ethic and exceptional time management skills are required as you must have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
You will also possess a confident, pleasant manner and possess a pro-active and professional approach to your work.
You are required to deliver quality service and be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
It is essential that you have a current drivers licence and be able to pass a full medical including a drug test before commencement of employment with my client.
