Recruitment 24/7 has a Wacol based client who is looking for a qualified Fitter & Turner for casual on call / annual leave coverage work.
Our client is a leader in the Print Industry with their office based in Wacol, the position will include Mechanical Fitting work on the plant machinery. Experience in the Print Industry is preferred however Manufacturing experience will be considered
You will require experience with making and replacing Tape Belts, Bearings and Rollers, Lathe, Milling, Welding and General Repairs of the Plant Machinery.
To be successful you must have:
Trade Qualification as Fitter & Turner
Industrial Mechanical Fitting Experience
Printing Industry Experience (Manufacturing will be considered)
Confined Spaces ticket
Working at Heights & EWP
Forklift Licence
Be able to work unsupervised
Excellent communication skills
Available ON CALL for 12 hour Shifts
This position will be casual on call, to cover sick leave and scheduled holidays of permanent staff, approximately 20 weeks of the year. The position will suit someone who is able to work shift work and is not looking for full time work. All shifts are 12 hours and start at 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. A Flat Hourly rate of $52.50 per hour for Day shift and $60.00 per hour for night shift, which includes all allowances and all breaks are paid.
