Recruitment 24/7 is currently seeking the services of an experienced and proactive Operations Manager with excellent leadership skills to lead a dedicated team to the successful delivery of their operational and commercial contractual obligations across South East Queensland.
 
The position reports directly to the Qld General Manager. You will bring strong operational and management expertise to a growing business and will actively promote their Work Health Safety policies and practices and foster a culture of quality, innovation and integrity across all of their services.
 
Leading by example, you will be process driven with the ability to install discipline and structure into both the business and processes currently used in order to take their business to the next level. You will be responsible for the utilisation and effective and efficient management of all field and office based personnel, equipment and machinery involved in the delivery of services in accordance with contracts held in the designated area of operations.

Key Criteria in order to be considered for this role:
  • Have held a leadership position for a minimum period of five years
  • Previous experience working  with a process driven organisation is essential
  • Experience with change management
  • Comprehensive understanding of the business issues surrounding companies in the contracting industry
  • Must have been responsible for contract and commercial outcomes for a minimum period of five years
  • Proven client management ability and great people skills with the ability to build professional relationships
  • Must have had previous experience and exposure dealing with human resource and industrial relations issues
  • Well developed skills in The Microsoft Office suite of packages
  • It would be an advantage if you had an understanding of a power distribution business, however this is not essential
  • Ideally a Degree Qualified Electrical Engineer or a trade qualified Electrician with a QLD Electrical Contractor’s Licence
  • Desirable that you have experience with IT computer systems and mobility solutions
  • Must be a good communicator and be the type of person that can fix a problem if it should occur
  • Experience in as high performing large organisation with a dispersed and remote workforce
  • Record of achievement in previous roles
  • Experience with managing an operational budget and regular management reporting, knowledge of P&L 
  • Well developed programming and sequencing skills
It is essential that you have a current drivers licence and be able to pass a full medical including a drug test before commencement of employment with my client.
 
You will have a high attention to detail and deliver accurate work. A strong work ethic and exceptional time management skills are required as you must have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.  You will also possess a confident, pleasant manner and possess a pro-active and professional approach to your work.
