Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a Principle Project Management for our Government Client based in Bowen Hills. This is a 9 month contract with a great hourly rate.

The Principle Project Manager will manage the hardware refresh and migration of thousands of devices from Windows XP to Window 7, in a complex organisational and technical environment, across the department. This position has financial, human resource delegations and personnel accountabilities.

Duties of the role:

  • Deliver the migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 across large areas
  • Deliver hardware replacements for aged desktop and laptops.
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained within the Agency by leading a multi-disciplinary team/s
  • Provide advice and strategic input to project deliverables, to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with department strategies and architecture.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with the best practice guidelines and the departments formal project management (PM) approach to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Guide, lead and mentor team members and ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage projects by monitoring and reporting on project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
  • Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • High level knowledge and application of project management methodologies

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Australian citizenship
  • Extensive experience in a Project Manager role
  • Be available to start on Monday 10th August 2015.
  • Be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Criminal History Check
