Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a Project Management for our Government Client based in the Brisbane CBD. This is a 6 month contract with a great hourly rate.
The Project Manager will initiate a Customer Revenue project, to progress systems/applications ability to integrate the customer revenue needs to the new Customer Finance (separate project) deliverables. The project you will lead will align the department with global best practice by implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) model to provide logical, integrated architecture to implement technology solutions that support business outcomes.
More than just an ICT solution, this project will maximise the strategic ICT investment by aligning policy, process, and information technology, to reduce inefficiency and enable rapid deployment of ICT solutions to meet the business needs of the agency.
Experience is required in the following areas
Proven ability to manage infrastructure projects including architecture development, procurement in a government context, and implementation of services.
Well developed communication and change management skills, including the ability to analyse business process models, business requirements, project reports and provide accurate documentation, clear advice and accurate data as required.
Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and motivate others or work autonomously – including planning, prioritising work, meeting deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in the absence of decision makers.
Proven ability to gather information and advice for business and systems analysis, and design so that the systems meet business requirements
Proven ability to work with finance, development and vendor teams
Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and associated communication documents.
Demonstrated ability to maintain registers
Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Well developed organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines and commitments.
Demonstrated ability in project management procedures and practices.
Requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple styles.
Desirable:
Previous experience in Agile delivery
Previous experience working for a large IT/ICT organisation or IT Projects (involving business change elements)
Prince2 Foundation® or equivalent experience in a project environment.
To be successful in the role you must have
Australian citizenship
Extensive experience in a Project Manager role
Be available to start on Monday 28th September 2015
Current Driver’s Licence,
Be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
Criminal History Check
Permanent Australian Visa or Australian citizenship required.
