Registered Nurse – Ipswich

Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy for a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse with one of our local clients for the Ipswich area working in a Nursing Home to start immediately.

As a Registered Nurse you will report directly to the Care Co-ordinator and will be responsible for the day to day care of residents of the facility in a manner that is resident centred.

Duties included in your role:

• Involvement in care plans for each resident, evaluate and review as required.
• Involvement in establishment and modification of a continuing schedule of residents’ spiritual, physical, social and mental activities
• Maintain compliance with Accreditation Standards
• Maintain Documentation required for ACFI
• Observe, document and report matters of each resident when required to the Care Coordinator

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Registered Nurse with APHRA
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current Police Certificate
• Efficient with use of computers and software, i.e. Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a coordinated team
• Demonstrates an understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation standards and ACFI processes.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service, written, phone and face to face.
• Outstanding communication skills, being able to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.

• Have permanent Australian residency or citizenship

In addition, the ideal candidate will also have:

• Experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care
• Experience in working all shifts.

This is a Part-Time Permanent Opportunity working approximately 22 hours a fortnight, with a small local Nursing Home. Weekend and evening shifts are part of this role.
