Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy available for a Fulltime Service Engineer based in Morningside Brisbane. A competitive salary will be on offer to the successful applicant depending on skills and experience.

To be considered for this position you must have experience with air compressors including Petrol (diesel) and Electric along with a strong parts and mechanical background.

The successful applicant must possess/ been exposed to:

  • Multi skilled with a mechanical or electrical trade
  • Service or maintenance experience within a pump or air compressor industry
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Strong customer liaison skills
  • Sound knowledge of air compressors and related products
  • Excellent negotiating skills and ability to `close the deal’
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation
  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel
  • Strong organisational skills to prioritise and schedule your workload
  • A mature, hands-on and self-motivated work ethic
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • A full drivers licence and good driving record

Responsibilities and Duties of position:

  • Ensuring Customer Satisfaction                        
  • Understand the Customer and Dealers requirements
  • Respond to queries / clarifications  at the earliest
  • Help Customer/Dealer to size the machine as well as application
  • Assist in maintaining stock for Dealers/Customer
  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly reports
  • Educate users / Dealers regarding usage of  Genuine Spares for better performance
  • Bringing down the Time to Respond to Dealer/Customer need within 24 hours
  • Ensure movement of inventory
  • Monthly reviews regarding business, stock and other issues
  • Attend all general staff meetings
  • Report directly to the Country Manager and other Managers if need be
  • Effective planning of spares ordering
  • Per delivery inspection of all machines
  • Ensuring that inventory does not exceed 60 days

You must have a high attention to detail and deliver accurate work. A strong work ethic and exceptional time management skills are required as you must have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

It is essential that you have a current drivers licence and be able to pass a drug test before commencement of employment.
