Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy with one of our major clients for a Clinical Manager in the Bundaberg.

This management role allows you to have nights and weekends off to enjoy life with family and friends; however, there is a requirement to be available on call on a scheduled basis.
You will be reporting to the Facility Manager and the primary purpose of this role is to lead and enhance a large and diverse clinical care team and ensure the standards of excellence for which our client is known for.
You must be willing to work in a fast paced environment, in addition to possessing broad clinical expertise and specialist knowledge; you must be an outstanding communicator.
To be eligible, you must be a registered nurse with current and applicable registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required for this position:
Aged care or health sector management experience
Staff training, management and human resources skills and experience
Familiarity with Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and documentation
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Quality Agency Standards and expected outcomes
Ability to use computers and technology efficiently
Post graduate qualifications and / or relevant experience in aged care will be favourably considered.
Main Duties Include:
The effective leadership of the Personal Care stream staff, ensuring competencies and performance standards are met and maintained at all times.
Facilitate and actively participate in performance management processing according to Human Resources policies and procedures.
Ensuring that care is based on individual resident needs and provided according to acceptable professional standards.
Provide clinical leadership and consultancy to medical practitioners, allied health professionals and community services to ensure optimal service delivery to residents.
Act as a client advocate and promote advocacy as a requirement of all team members.
Take responsibility and accountability for nursing decisions and actions.
Effectively collate clinical statistics and data in order to analyse and identify clinical trends, causes and outcomes.
Liaise with the Facility Manager in the management of the Master Roster to ensure care standards and staffing levels are maintained whilst operating within the allocated budget and relevant approval structure.
Ensure documentation meets professional and regulatory requirements.
Apply an understanding of the depth and scope of the Aged Care Act 1997 and Quality of Care Principles to the clinical area of nursing and personal care.
Perform as a professional role model and mentor, through demonstrating advanced clinical expertise in the nursing care of the aged person.
