Experienced Motorhands

Recruitment 24/7 has multiple vacancies available for Experienced Motorhands working with one of our clients based in QLD. These positions require you to be available for onshore work in the oil and gas industry. These are permanent positions with a roster of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off and an exceptional annual salary of $80,000 – $85,000. We encourage applications from candidates on a national basis who are prepared to perform for FIFO work.

Our client is an international company which has ongoing long term contracts! Do you have experience in Workover/Completion rigs? Have you worked for bigger rigs? Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Driller with the operation and maintenance of rig engines, motors and mechanical equipment
• Maintenance and lubricating machinery to keep it running efficiently
• Assess tongs that help connect and disconnect drill pipes and spinning chain
• Keep records on maintenance of equipment
• Monitor inventories of lube oils, fuels and oil filters
• Preventative maintenance on equipment to be performed regularly
• Mobilization and demobilization of rigs
• Monitoring, supervising and training labourers and floorhands
• Assist other oil rig crews as necessary

Key Skills required to be considered for the positions:

• Good communication skills and positive attitude
• Strong mechanical background
• Physical strength and stamina to withstand rough weather conditions
• Working at heights certificate
• At least 2 years previous experience on Oil & Gas projects (Not Mineral) in the same role
• Breathing Apparatus training
• First Aid/CPR training and certificate
• Confined Space certificate
• Pass a drug and alcohol test
