Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for an experienced Procurement Officer for our Government Client based in Brisbane CBD. This is a 9 week contract starting on 17th August 2015.
The successful candidate MUST HAVE demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Information Technology industry and Procurement and Sourcing. You will be responsible self-motivated, enthusiastic and results orientated with excellent interpersonal skills.
The work performed in this role will have a direct impact on the departments ICT procurement function through strategic analysis and procurement planning, category management, strategy development and implementation and the provision of expert knowledge and advise to stakeholders according to the Government requirements and initiatives.
Duties will specifically include coordinating the contract process for ICT hardware, software and services for assigned Strategic projects and ensure project priorities are delivered through the correct processes.
To be selected for the position you MUST HAVE
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple personalities of clients and stakeholders
Previous experience in gathering information; able to solicit and analyse business procurement requirements so that the resulting procurement contracts support the business requirements
Demonstrated ability to develop GITC contract documentation and associated communication documents
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and high quality work is delivered.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team – including ability to organise own work, planning, prioritising work, meeting deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in the absence of decision makers.
Prior experience with complex ICT Procurement projects, preferably in a lead role
The successful candidate will be ready to start Monday 17th August, is willing to undergo a Police Clearance and has Work Rights to work in Australia.
