Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy for a Business Analyst for our Government Client in the Community Recovery department, based in the Brisbane CBD. This is a 5 month (21 week) contract starting on 10th August 2015.

The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide business analysis services to the Community Recovery ICT Project. The resource will be required to deliver quality business and functional requirement specifications and associated deliverables in short timeframes.

The business analyst will be responsible for documenting the detailed business processes for community recovery grants processing, identify any system interface requirements and documenting the functional requirements associated with moving existing grants forms to a new ICT platform. The resource will also be responsible for evaluating mobile devices that could be used by staff in Community Recovery hubs during a disaster and will assist in determining connectivity options to support this.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Must have demonstrable business analyst skills and experience (2- 5 years)
  • Experience working within a large, complex multi-disciplinary organisation
  • High level of written communication and documentation skills
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience within the development of business process mapping, current and future states
  • Modelling techniques and methods using Business Process Model and Notation (BMPN)

                                      

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of Incident Management systems
  • Project experience using Prince2 project methodology
  • Experience with Disaster Management applications or working in a disaster management field would be advantageous
  • Experience in, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) and requirements management tools

It is essential that you have a current driver’s licence, be able to pass a drug test and also a Police check before commencement of employment. The start date is ASAP.
