Recruitment 24/7 is working in partnership with a well established client who is based in Ipswich and is looking for a trade qualified Fitter & Turner to come on board with their reputable company!
On offer to the right candidate is a permanent full time position with a guaranteed 38 hours of work from Monday – Friday each week. The initial pay rate on offer is a negotiable $25/hr depending on skills and experience.
The role will be varied and will consist not only turning a variety of parts on a manual lathe but also maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and also fixing a variety of pumps and other machinery.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated; results orientated, and have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Trade Qualified
Experienced in Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
Experienced in turning on Manual Lathes
Experienced in Maintenance/ Breakdown work
Be pro-active, a team player, with the ability to work independently
Sound knowledge of effective problem solving skills including the ability to develop solutions, fault find, trouble shoot and implement continuous improvement
It is essential that you must have own transport, be able to pass a drug and alcohol test before starting employment.
