Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacancy for a Project / Workshop Manager for one of our clients based in the Eagle Farm area.
This is a permanent position for the right candidate, however it may start as an ongoing casual role working Monday to Friday for the first 6 months, so if you are after job security in this current economic climate, this position may be what you have been looking for.
A salary or hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful candidate dependent on skills, qualifications and previous experience.
Below is a list of some of the required duties for the above mentioned role:
organizing and chairing toolbox meetings with staff
carrying out staff appraisals, managing performance and disciplining staff
delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output
involvement in management discussions on the organizations policies and strategic development
responding to customer enquiries and complaints in conjunction with Director
reviewing and updating Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, Security & Environment policies and ensuring they are observed
provide support and direction to staff
facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, lead the planning and implementation of projects, define project tasks and resource requirements and plan and schedule project timelines in house and on site
provide direction and support to project teams. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes
Estimate taking off actual trade drawings
Timely, Accurate Quotations and Production Details
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated
Consult catalogues and suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
Raising purchase orders against sub-contractor quotes and contractor expenses
The ideal candidate for the above role will have had previous experience working in a similar role and or have a trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fitter in order to be able to read the drawings.
It is essential that you have a current drivers licence and be able to pass a drug test before commencement of employment as well as throughout your employment with our client.
