Recruitment 24/7 is currently seeking a Steel Production Programmer with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry, based in Ipswich.

This is a permanent role for an experienced Turret & Press Brake Operator who has moved into a Programming role. Extensive experience with Auto Cad using LVD and CADMAN software is a must to be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering trade background and be a team player with excellent communication skills. Supervisory experience is not necessary but will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • CNC Programming with LVD Equipment and CADMAN Software
  • Supervision of the turret and press brake operators, welders and painters
  • Training employees
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of workloads as well as assigning and monitoring completion

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a turret and press brake operator
  • Extensive CNC programming experience
  • Experience using AUTOCAD software
  • Familiarity with parts produced by the Turret and Press Brake Machines
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting work orders and the ability to prioritise your work load

It is essential that you must have a Driver’s Licence and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test before starting employment.
