Recruitment 24/7 currently has a vacant position for an experienced Transport Coordinator for one of our clients based in the Richlands area.

This is an Full-Time/ Permanent  position working 7.6 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

In the role of the Transport Coordinator, you will report to the production manager. You will be responsible for the loaders and external drivers. You will also assist in dispatch on inward and outward equipment for the business in a timely and safe manner. This role is a key function in day to day operations and is highly valued in the business.

The role will suit a task orientated individual who has the ability to prioritise and manage a high volume workload.

The ideal candidate will have very effective communication skills as the role will have a strong customer service focus with a high level of interaction with customers, contractors and site construction teams.


  • Scheduling dispatch on a daily basis
  • Arrange transport bookings both local and interstate
  • Liaising with drivers and loaders on a daily basis and follow up where necessary
  • Provide point of contact for customers, contractors and site construction teams in and out
  • Order, receive and provide receipts for raw material
  • Report and process damages, shortages and any delivery discrepancies
  • Reconcile paperwork received against Drivers’ manifests
  • Input receipt documentation to in- house computer system and other administrative duties
  • Handle credit card payments and document
  • Some invoicing

Personal Requirements

  • Previous experience working in the construction/ civil industry
  • Knowledge of retaining walls will be beneficial
  • High level of initiative, motivation and attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to find alternative solutions and exercise judgment where appropriate
  • Committed to safety, quality and ethical practices


Necessary Requirements

  • Have a current forklift licence
  • Medium skill level with Microsoft programs; Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Low skill level with Microsoft programs; Access and Sharepoint
