Recruitment 24/7 has a current vacancy with one of their Ipswich based clients for a Weighbridge Assistant. This is an ongoing casual position working 36 hours a week, with the view that after a qualifying period a permanent fulltime role may be offered depending on performance.
This is a very crucial role, as you are the face of the company. Your experience and professionalism will be of the upmost importance! In this position you will work alone in the weighbridge on afternoon shift, starting midday and finishing at 6PM Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work every Saturday on alternating shifts, the first being 6AM until midday, and the second midday until 6PM.
Reporting to the Senior Weighbridge Operator your role will be to ensure efficient movement of trucks through the Weighbridge to the appropriate areas and process dockets and payments on exit. Accurate processing is an essential responsibility of Weighbridge staff.
As an experienced Weighbridge Assistant you will be responsible for
Assessing incoming vehicles and produce docket and directions for drivers
Producing reports
Cash and Eftpos sales
Process outgoing vehicles
Operating the UHF to communicate with other staff
To be considered for this position you MUST have:
Experience working in a Weighbridge
Drivers Licence and own transport
Computer literate and a quick learner
Able to work unsupervised
Good listener & exceptional attention to detail
